Thick leather gloves that go up to the elbow with reinforced fingertips and metal plates on the backs of the hands and on the forearms for +1 DEF; unarmed melee attacks using “spear hand” or an extended index finger do D6 weapon (piercing) damage, with the wearer landing a critical hit for additional ULTIMATE DAMAGE on a natural 19+; if the opponent is approximately human-sized or smaller with no face protection, the crit takes out one of the opponent’s eyes (permanently on a failed CON save(!)) for partial or complete blinding effects (GM’s discretion), and that opponent becomes an obsessed sworn enemy of the wearer, bent on revenge to the grave.
