RuneJammer, the completely free around-the-clock online roleplaying game event run by and for the Runehammer fan community, is back from July 20 through July 27 with 21 GMs running over 70 RPG sessions of Index Card RPG, Crown and Skull, EZD6, and Viking Death Squad. Registration is open now!

I think a big part of RuneJammer that some people may miss at first glance is what a superb opportunity it is to get people you know into the hobby playing ICRPG, C&S, and EZD6.

One of our stated goals last year remains the same for RJ24: reducing barriers to access to RPG fun for as many people as we can. Not familiar with the game system? No problem. Can’t find people to play with? No problem. Can’t find time to play? No problem. Wake up early on a Monday morning and get in a game before you go to work!

We encourage community members to tell friends, family, and coworkers beyond the Runehammer community about the possibilities this unique event offers. The gamers you help convert at RuneJammer this year will be grateful participants in your own gaming life in the future.

Greetings! On behalf of all the Event Hosts, thanks for your interest in our community-run, free-to-play, week-long, around-the-clock roleplaying game event: RuneJammer 2024!

RuneJammer is a superb opportunity to get people you know into the RPG hobby playing ICRPG, Crown and Skull, and EZD6. Many people remain on the fence about gaming online because they “don’t like playing with strangers…” Fortunately, friends can put together their own group and register to fill the entire table at a game session of their choosing, with an exciting adventure hosted by an experienced GM who’s ready to run it just for them. That’s pretty hard to beat.

So bring a friend to RuneJammer! Below is a list of links to over 40 games—across all the days RuneJammer runs in July—that currently have at least TWO open seats available for additional players. Find one you like, fill up the session, and enjoy an exciting, one-of-a kind gaming experience alongside someone you already know.

We encourage every participant to tell friends, family, and coworkers beyond the Runehammer community about the possibilities our unique event offers.

We are super-glad to have you with us at RuneJammer, Bryan. You’ll be gaming with DM Scotty this time next month! :sunglasses:

We hope you will get the word out this weekend, and tell folks about our event, as we add new game sessions to our schedule with four weeks to go before our event kicks off.

New games and available sessions will be showcased together this Saturday morning (11 AM Eastern/ 8 AM Pacific) on the excellent Karl Makes Stuff YouTube channel. The live stream’s host, Karl Agius, has been a real friend to Runehammer Games and RuneJammer, and he’s not only an RJ24 GM but also the author of The Four Horsemen, an absolutely brilliant historical setting and supplement for DM Scotty’s EZD6 syste. Shields are encouraged to tell friends, tune in on Saturday, and give Karl a like and a sub!

Also, this Saturday is Free RPG Day.

During this annual game industry event, participating hobby retailers everywhere make free premiums, exclusive RPG content, and previews of upcoming publications available to their gaming customers, so be sure to check in at your friendly local game store this weekend.

When you visit your FLGS and engage in the usual hobby banter with like-minded souls, be sure to mention RuneJammer 2024, and clue some new people into the fun we have scheduled for 20-27 July.

RuneJammer is an all-volunteer grassroots community-organized gaming event—run by Runehammer Games fans for everyone, regardless of experience—and it’s completely FREE. RJ24 is designed to welcome newcomers into the wonderful hobby of roleplaying games; it is very much in line with the ethos behind Free RPG Day, so Saturday is a great day to get the word out!

Also, if you’re currently registered for a RuneJammer session that still has open seats available, please tell a friend about your game and bring that person along! Your GM will appreciate you for bringing a new player into the fold, and you’ll enrich your own experience at the table when you bring a current friend with you to make new ones.
