The Sunken Towers: room setup

This room is all about positioning and so has a rather elaborate setup, but little overhead during play. Player-characters have the upper hand on dry land but must risk entering the murky waters to reach their goal, and are forced apart by geography.

I know I should have had some ranged attacks to force the pcs to move, but i couldn’t find a solution that didn’t violate my aesthetics (bog mummies should have their bows and javelins rotted). If you don’t mind, you should totally add it.

I just wanted to share how much I love the map design. Very old school gamey to me and I love it!

Really love this idea! I’ll definitely be giving it a go. You could have bogmen use blowpipes for a ranged attack.

Hmm, blowpipes could make sense - I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. And now with the illustration, I’d say it’s a given!
