So how would you build/stat and equip a 6 point n00b character inspired by Drizz’t of the Forgotten Realms stories? Some kind of Drow swordy-stabby guy, right?
Twin blades (like blip twin duranium claws)
Later on he can add 1d4 ice damage to one of the blades
Some kind of speed boots. Maybe attack and move again, to simulate the ankle bracers.
Mithril shirt later.
Figurine that becomes an animal companion later.
Infrared vision like Reptoid.

So I asked him for an inspiration character so I could kind of help get him pointed the right way quick when he gets here tomorrow. I’m all for helping him play Drizzt with the serial numbers filed off if thats what rocks his socks.
But here’s the funny part(s): He’s a Drow showing up in a Drow assassin shrine shortly after the party was attacked by said Drow assassins. And In the next room one of the loots I had already prepped is a Chuul figurine.
The poor guy had twisted himself over into a plain fighter but with dual wield by game time… and then pissed off the wrong giant Chuul being worshipped as a god, becoming the first blood of the new run.
Lol, classic. Good introduction to the game for him!
