Another blog post I wrote about using values, flaws and goals to add roleplaying depth to ICRPG.

The listings of values and flaws is interesting. Players and GMs alike could benefit from lists like this (for PCs and NPCs, respectively).

I would only caution against using 2d12 as the mechanic for randomly selecting from those lists as that will skew the results toward the middle of the range – 10 through 16 would come up more frequently, with 13 coming up the most frequently, etc.

That might make most adventurers humorous hedonists! :slight_smile:

Ha! I only threw in 2d12 because it aligned with the number of flaws and values I came up with. Stupid math, always biting me in the ass. That being said, humorous hedonists sounds like fun to me.
